Policy Regarding The Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19)
IMPORTANT UPDATE 5/14/20
In light of the current situation with COVID-19, our office has been following directives from the American Dental Association, NYSDA, NYSDOH, and the CDC and we discontinued all non-urgent dental care on March 16th, 2020. We have now come to the difficult decision, however, that as of Monday, March 30, 2020, this office will be temporarily closed. We continue to monitor the NY Forward Re-Opening Plan and hope that we will be allowed to open our office for all dental services at the beginning of June. Once we have more guidance, we will provide an update.
In the case of an emergency situation, you may call Dr. Rashford at 845-417-7658 for a phone consultation. However, if you require immediate emergency dental care, please call 845-223-9987 and the dentist on-call at Family Smiles of the Hudson Valley will contact you.

Keeping Our Patients Safe
In the evening of 3/16/20, the American Dental Society and New York State Dental Association published guidelines on the treatment of dental patients during the current public health crisis. We are following these recommendations and, as such, will only be open to treat patients with true dental emergencies. We continue to monitor the NY Forward Re-Opening Plan and hope that we will be allowed to open our office for all dental services at the beginning of June. Once we have more guidance, we will provide an update.
Our office will remain available by phone during normal business hours to schedule emergency treatment during this restricted period and to reschedule non-urgent treatment.

The health and safety of our community and staff at Hyde Park Family Dental are of the utmost importance to us. We would like to share with you our office guidelines regarding the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).
We request that if you are experiencing the symptoms of a common cold, flu or other illness to reschedule your appointment and remain at home.
We request patients reschedule their appointments if you have travelled internationally within the past two weeks to regions with widespread or sustained community transition as indicated by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC): China, Iran, Italy, Japan and South Korea.
We would like to emphasize the importance of following the CDC guidelines which include avoiding touching eyes, nose and mouth; covering coughs or sneezes with tissues and disposing of the tissue in the trash; and washing hands for at least 20 seconds.
When visiting our facility, we encourage you to wash your hands or use hand sanitizer at the front desk and treatment rooms. We will continue to update our policies as recommended by the CDC.
